Hahaha what the flying fuck is a Johnny Wheelwright? It sounds like something I'd call my dog to make fun of it for walking around on its front paws and dragging its back legs over the carpet like it does sometimes.

johnny wheelwright is the main character from a prayer for owen meany. he is what some call a "non-practicing homosexual" but in reality he's just an old bachelor who's never happened to have sex.

Non-practicing homosexual...I suppose that's all dandy, though he'll never get good at it.

He'll never get good at it? He's never done it. I don't think J.W. is gay. I think he's religious and stuck in the past and gawky and shy and crippled. He is crippled and also held back by the memory of Owen Meany. But he's not gay. Nope. He's straight, but has no urge to do it. Interesting, huh?
