Okay, so, there are two main big things to catch people up on, here; medical issues and financial issues. The medical issues are easier for me to get a verbal handle on, whereas the financial stuff feels like I'll balloon out of control and start digressing to the point where I can't stay focused on the topic well enough to communicate it. Were you in an "open" MRI machine? You may want to ask them at the place you had the MRI if you were in an "open" machine or if not could they schedule you in one. Plus you could also ask them if they could give you something to relax you. At the radiology place I work at we schedule claustro or nervous patient's in the "open" MRI and sometimes also give them a little valium to keep them relaxed. We also require that they have a driver with them because of the valium so they may require that as well. Just thinking you may be more comfortable next time.

Nope, it wasn't an open machine. I remember them asking about that when I was scheduling the procedure, and I wanted to try the normal one, plus I didn't want to wait for an open machine to be available. The confined space didn't really bother me; it was mostly the noise. The open machine would have been nice after the mess-up with the dye injection, though. There was a huge icepack strapped to my arm to relieve the pain, but it wedged my arm up against the edge of the machine when they stuck me back in, which was really uncomfortable and kind of added to the stinging. Thankfully, my insurance plan rocks, and they covered a driver to take me to and from the appointment. Which I needed; I was so worn out after the experience that I felt like I could barely move. Anyway, thanks for the tip. Maybe an open machine would be better for me; I really don't know. I ( ... )
