So, I come with porn... I think.

Aug 12, 2010 09:04

So I just handed in my sn_exchange assignment a little before last week, and have been on a break from LJ ever since. It's refreshing, to say the least. Anyway, I discovered that lately I've been failing quite miserably at writing porn.

This way to the sexy meme. )

fanfiction, meme, character: orochimaru, fandom: naruto, nejihina, character: hinata, character: sasuke, character: naruto, practise, drabbles, character: sakura, orosasu, yaoi, narusaku, character: shino, shinohina, sasusaku, sasunaru, one-shots., pairings, smut, het, character: neji

Haven't read these yet, I'm taking a break from fandom at the moment, but I'm glad you appreciate how I feel XD. I mean. Extra smut when it's not needed can take away, rather than add to the quality of the fic. Plus, as a writer you don't know whether people are reading your fic because omg it's so hawwwt, or because you're actually talented at writing.

But yeah. i get blocked when I try to write smut for smut's sake. One of the rare times I get just completely and utterly blocked. For more information, see Questy's midsummer porn fest xD

Gawd, you have no idea how hard it is to write smut when you're simply. not. motivated. And when it's simply not needed.

Plus, as a writer you don't know whether people are reading your fic because omg it's so hawwwt, or because you're actually talented at writing. - Wow, Sarah. You're actually talking serious. D: But you're so. right. *gives you cookie*

So. I just spent the last one hour squeeing over Questy's midsummer porn fest (and wrote a little something of my own, which predictably, is fail!porn :'|) but why is no one posting there anymore?! D: Are they still busy with all the summer exchanges flying around! I hope it picks up again, because I like my porn. A lot.

And seriously? A smoke-detector? I have no idea how you managed to make that sound sexy, but it was.

Maybe Sasuke thought his hard-on was from something else. Naruto hoped Sasuke's hard-on wasn't from something else.

"I do want to do this. With you." He paused. "Uhm. Now." - *inser giggles* Just so you know, I'll still keep on bugging you to write porn. :p ( ... )

I can talk serious... I copy and pasted the pm you sent me to ember, to ask if that was the impression you all had of me, and she was like "um... yes."

I'M SERIOUS. srs bsns syrraki. or something.

but I don't really have that problem, ha ha, because anyone reading my fics for 'the good stuff' would have been seriously disappointed a looong time ago. And even when I put it in, people don't notice because it is so sneaky...

Questelette's fest was a while ago, so I think posting has died down a little? she'll be thrilled that you wrote anything either way. And she does them for new year if you're interested. she ambushed me on msn the night she posted, like, SARAH YOU DIDN'T WRITE ME PORN. and I spent about two hours trying really hard to write something vaguely smutty, and that was the best I could come up with XD.

<333

p.s. you? like porn? SURELY NOT!?!? *shocked 4eva and eva.

I know. She told me that someone else said that you're too nice for concrit. XDDD

I'M SERIOUS. srs bsns syrraki. or something. - Sure. I believe you. Totally. Whatever you say.

Sheesh, stop being so modest Sarah. You don't write the good stuff. You write the awesome stuff. Trust me, I'm being serious about that.

And even when I put it in, people don't notice because it is so sneaky... - What. Where. Actually, I think I'll go check right now (and say something about that birthday fic you wrote priestess 8D)

And she does them for new year if you're interested. - Yes, I checked it out and it was pure heaven (I even read the reborn ones, even though I didn't get much. I think I'll start reading the manga soon...)

That is, like, THE MOST AWESOME WAY TO AMBUSH SOMEONE. And dude, don't beat yourself over it. It wasn't smutty. It was better than smutty - Sasuke and Naruto were so distracted that they didn't even smell the smoke. <---That's some sexy implication RIGHT THERE.

XOXOXO

P.S. aha! so people are right about you being ( ... )

It *really* did!
And I sent you an e-mail about that :)
At the moment, I'm currently putting the ideas on a paper and trying to put what I'd like to in there (though not too much).
I also sent you the Big SxN project I've been working on since 2 months or so. (though I didn't touch it since a month but I keep trying to explore ideas and whatever).

I'm glad it did - I actually spent - what? - two hours writing that up, and when I finished and looked at the clock, it was 3 in the morning.

I've read the e-mail (would've read it sooner, but it's hard juggling six e-mail a/cs)

And great - it always helps to have idea handwritten before typing them up. Now I don't know whether I'll be able to get back to you on your SxN project anytime soon - it's Ramadan over here now, and I just know family obligations are going to pile up one by one. Ugh, I hate social niceties... but, I'll try, though! :D

Ah, these are great! I especially love your Sasuke/Naruto and Sakura/Naruto ones... Pairings involving Naruto just always turn out so awesome... aaand it always helps that I'm a little obsessed with that guy. >.>

Ooh, and the Orochimaru/Sasuke one was so cool too, you wrote out that piece perfectly... same with the Shino/Hinata and the... okay, so you're just amazing at writing out character interactions! That's such a great skill. :D

I apologize for the weirdness that is this comment- it's like 5 a.m. and it was a looong day yesterday. :)

Gawd, dude, where have you been? It's like - you disappear for a few months without notice and then, BAM. Suddenly, you're here again! But, I'm glad you are - hopefully, you'll be able to catch up with LJ soon. A lot has been going on with the release of the new Naruto chapters.

Naruto - trust me, he'll turn out to be another Allen Walker (D.Gray-Man) and everyone will have man-crushes on him after a few chapters. Just you wait and see.

And the Orochimaru/Sasuke one was actually inspired by a passage from My Name is Red by Orhan Pamuk, which I read about a month ago:

At the age of 119, this legendary master who'd never married and had never even made love, met the flesh-and-blood ideal of the beautiful slant-eyed, sharp-chinned, moon-faced boy he'd depicted for a century: a part Chinese part Croatian sixteen-year-old apprentice in Shah Tahmasp's miniaturists' workshop...The first things that leapt out at me were '119', 'sixteen', the boy's description and the word 'apprentice', and I was gaping at the book and thinking, "Oh my god ( ... )

I'm not on your flist, but don't freak out. I came here through syrraki's LJ. The mention of OroSasu was a red rag to a bull, lol.

Just have to say that I loved it - your OroSasu one-shot, I mean. It was beautiful - in a cold, brutal and unforgiving way, but that's how I always like it. If someone can write a situation that is horrendously awful in a way that's beautiful, I can admire that. You pulled it off. Kudos! :) Your Oro was awesome (vain, eloquent, spoiled, psychotic) and your Sasuke was spot on (insolent, stand-offish, revenge-retarded). There were some awesome lines and images in here too.

"Orochimaru was a genius. But he was also vain."

Great line to start a new section with. Short and to the point; brutal, like Oro and the whole messy situation Sasuke has found himself in. It also manages to sum up a whole lot about Oro as a character. Nice...

"Orochimaru had always had a certain fondness for lost, hungry strays."Again, awesome because it is true, and tragic because Oro is a psychopath and we all know what ( ... )

Oh no wait, I came here through the OroSasu community. I saw syrraki's user name above and thought "Derrrrrp... well, must've come from there!" Clearly, I am a dumbass. XD

The moment you mentioned Sarah Tree, I checked out your profile I stalk people in my spare time, you see and- I. Wow. I knew the name looked familiar. Like syrraki, I always thought the author of A Day in the Life was a guy, because their writing styles seem to be more 'solid' or 'concentrated', and generally tend to be more straightforward, but- this is a pleasant surprise.

Before I reply to your other comment, I should tell you that your OroSasu stories were what got me into the pairing in the first place. I don't know why I chose to venture into the OroSasu fandom (there was jut something so appealing and twisted about it...), but I'm glad I did.

I think I'll go read the rest of ADitL now (I'm still reading through chapter 36)

Now, excuse me while I hyperventilate.

(I totally spent the weekend rereading ADitL. Ada, I didn't mention it to you because I think my adoration of the fic has gone past flattering and into sort of creepy.)
