I love when the lilacs on Brattle Street are in bloom.
Another excellent thing is when my favorite tree, a European Beech on MIT's campus, is in full leaf and I can go climb it.
This is a really good time of year to take a walk around Mount Auburn Cemetery and climb the tower in the middle for the Panoramic view of the Boston area.
I've never heard names for them; and they look to be about the same rough size to me. I prefer the one that is closer to building 8, is further to the Institute West, has a single vertical trunk (as opposed to the split trunk on the other).

Which beech, out of curiosity? The one by Medical? or the ones by 8/16? Or by W20?
