I still use Livejournal to read other friend's posts, but I don't post stuff here anymore, and haven't for a long time.
I sort of used to keep a journal here, and I made both Public and 'Friends-locked' posts. My public posts may have been about things I notice as I'm going about my daily life that seem interesting. My Friends- ( Read more... ) -

The problem with extraordinarily beautiful days like today is that they are both perfect for biking around and then sailing and/or tree climbing, and also perfect for lying in bed next to an open window, observing small breezes and changing light. It also turns out that today is a good day for for eating cherries. -
Bicycle adventure.
On Wednesday, I finally managed to wrap up my bicycle shopping at Harris Cyclery in West Newton, and I bought a new bike, a 9-speed road-style bike with a setup meant for commuting. The ride home was a notable experience for me.

Some of these things are not like some others.
- I love when the lilacs on Brattle Street are in bloom.
- Another excellent thing is when my favorite tree, a European Beech on MIT's campus, is in full leaf and I can go climb it.
- This is a really good time of year to take a walk around Mount Auburn Cemetery and climb the tower in the middle for the Panoramic view of the Boston area.

Observation
While biking home from work, I observed a white-haired taxi driver by the side of the road, in his idling taxi, repeatedly hitting the chest of a white figurine some pale blue dots on it with a small silvery metal hammer ( Read more... ) -

Observation
The clerks at Shaw's (Supermarket), at multiple branches, seem to be quite amused when I pull out the folded-up blue tarp-material bag that cost me $1 at IKEA and I asked them to put all the groceries in it, and all the groceries fit because the bag is huge.
