Hee, I need to post this before I forget, but it's definitely my favorite post, yet! I've been dying to make icons out of the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet ever since I saw it in class and fell in love with it. Major props for using this version of R&J! They're all pretty, but I especially love 5, 11, and 16.

Haha, those were pretty simple actually. I use PS7, by the way: (and this will definitely work for the first icon and the banner, and should work with the other icon, too, if I'm not mistaken.)

I used this image from dj_capslock.

-Cleaned it up by: Image > Adjustments > Auto Contrast// Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels// Image > Adjustments > Auto Color.
-Duplicate layer and set to screen. (these steps take away that blue color, and leaves a nice base.)
-Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation and put the saturation way up, I used +57.
-Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color. This is where you experiment and you can get really bright colors. I found this tutorial helpful, but do play around with it. You get really cool effects. Selective Color = my favorite thing in PS.

Mine were;
Reds: Cyan -100
Yellows: Cyan -100
Cyans: Cyan +100, Magenta +17, Yellow -11.
