So... in order to deal with the fact that the communities I belong to, the fic that I will read, will spoil me for Doctor Who, whether or not I want to be spoiled- I've reached a compromise.

First- I love that Kripke had to have put Bela in there just to screw with us. Ideally, I think he wanted us to like her; I was always ambivalent. I don't mind unscrupulous characters, I can like them fine without admiring them. Or even like disliking them. But in this episode, I kind of bled for her a little. Yay for Itunes, and how it helps those of us who cannot afford BBC America or season DVDs, but really, really want to own it. Now if only Doctor Who would join the fun.

I am discovering a whole new love for Doctor Who, centered on the tenth doctor, but not restricted to that- though I don't really want to go back and see incarnations before the ninth.

Still, I'm fairly amazed by some of the story lines, the fact that there is actually a very strong desire to create characters and stick to them.
