I am located in Indianapolis and am interested in maybe having some sort of meet-up. I have a good friend who works at the Morris-Butler House, an 1865 historic home that is open to the public as a museum, and she has told me that they currently have an exhibit about mourning on display. As stated in another comm, I'm very interested. Your ideas sounds fabulous. Anytime typically works for me, especially if it's weekends (Sundays?) I'm pretty flexible if I know in advance.

Fantastic! Weekends are good for me, too. You mentioned that maybe some other friends of yours might be interested--how many, do you think?

I will have to ask to be sure. I know of several who have a passing interest in Steampunk but don't know for sure of anyone who would be willing to make a costume and go all out.

I think for sure there will be me, my boyfriend, and maybe a couple of others? I'm such a newb at this as a fair warning :)

If anyone in Indy is interested in "breaking out of the costume hamper" and doing something different, we run a Renaissance faire at Conner Prairie the first weekend in October and are always looking for people to join our group.
