The word "fwoomp" popped into my mind for no good reason. I like these images-- the color is amazing.

i don't talk much about where i live or anything on here, but this ought to give you a good enough idea: it's in a zone 9 or 10 area in the States ... very very hot!

thanks; the sky can be gorgeous here on the right day, with the cloud formations and such, but those blue skies do produce enormous tropical heat! a lot of people wouldn't live here for that reason and i don't blame them. but for anyone tired of grey skies, it's great.

They look so wild!
The first one makes me think of giant Polynesian dancers in a line up.

Question:
I haven't been taking pictures for a while and when I do I just borrow my sister's old camera. I've seen so many pictures these days with intense color. I was wondering if those photos have been enchanced to be "high contrast" or if those are the natural colors taken as is? If that's how blue your skies are and how green the foliage is, I am living in the wrong town.

haha, thank you. :o)

not all the grass in this city (especially with the drought) is that green; what you are looking at in those photos isn't really grass. it is a ground cover that is an especially vibrant green. it is near a swampy area; that is why i think it might be so green.

yes, the skies are that blue. but the weather is really really *really* hot here, so this time of year it is hard to get outside to enjoy them. i also got lucky; it was an especially beautiful day for clouds.

i love your comment about the polynesian dancers.
