[Geek] Packet interception!

Thanks to the advice of my remarkable friends, I now have a working packet analysis set-up involving my EeePC, a 4 port hub and far too much ethernet cable (I should definitely acquire/make some shorter lengths). I could fit this entire setup in a small bag and take it on site, it's just a shame the hub isn't battery operated, which would make this ( Read more... )

Perhaps a freeloader charger would help with portablity?

Solar powered charger and battery. I am not sure how well they work as I haven't got one and reviews vary enormously however they come with many attachments so you can power all sorts of devices with them.

I've got a crimper and ends for making shorter ethernet cable out of longer ones... but I'm not going ot be around for a few weeks. Useful things to have in general, though.
