yay, i have a heart murmer. doc says 1 in 7 people have it, not to worry about it, but how can i not? especially with heart disease in my family. oh well, i'm just gunna try not to think about it.

i'll have my blood taken on wednesday.. weeee and stuff.

Ahwww baby it'll be okay, lots of people with heart murmurs live normal healthy lives. I mean perhaps you shouldn't be playing any extreme sports and I'm sure you'll be real upset about missing out on those ::rolls eyes::

Honestly it shouldn't affect you much at all, worrying is what I do best leave it to me, and if I'm not so worried about it then you shouldn't be cause I worry about almost everything and you know it.

it really is not a big worry at all, john. i have a heart murmur myself, and they're extremely common. to be honest, having high blood pressure is more dangerous than having a murmur. you can easily live just as if there was nothing different unless you plan on climbing mountains all day then coming home to bale hay and chain-smoke.
sometimes, drastic changes in weight can induce heard murmurs; they found mine when i was going through eating disorder treatment and told me the same things i'm telling you: for the most part, it's nothing to worry about unless you are extraordinarily active and don't take good care of yourself at all. i know you eat well and live a healthy lifestyle, so i can imagine that the effects will be little if not nonexistent. it is good to keep a check up on it, but if the murmur was drastic enough to note further treatment, i'm confident the doc would have told you about it.
no worries, love. it'll be okay.

A murmur is a valve problem. The heart disease you have in your family is a blood pressure/cholesterol problem. Totally different stuff. I had a murmur when I was pregnant but it went away. I suggest to always cool down after vigorous activity. HA
