Every day is a day of fail with the Daily Mail. It's the shit that keeps on giving. I have to say, though, your loonies are more spectacularly loony than our loonies.

I don't think you're going to find much coverage of that in the Fail.

Are you sure the UK isn't hiring Fox-faux talking heads and teaching them a posh accent? Because guys like this are EXACTLY why the US is in such a huge pile of poo right now.

Naah, the Daily Mail has been like this for decades. Not for nothing are they nicknamed The Daily Hate.

Here's a link to an automatic headline generator that should give you a flavour of their style:

We have our own rightwing loonies, and they don't need lessons from Fox, though I am sure they envy your rightwing loonies their power. And they're supporters of the party that's about to come to power too. ::sigh::

You are incomparable when you have your rant on.

I share your rage, BTW. This kind of thing makes me fucking seethe.

They're completely ridiculous. You should try the link left by andrewducker above. That is exactly what the Daily Mail is like every single day.

I know! I remember taking P. there at the beginning of the relationship, and how he was absolutely scandalized at the quality of journalism in the UK.

That headline generator is great. (:

Well, as someone who works in the field, I have to defend the quality of some journalism. Negotiating the press means knowing the biases and reading accordingly. Even the Daily Mail is tremendously smart journalism. Diabolical and appalling, but smart.

And just for punctuation, here is Charlie Brooker on newspapers.

That would be Charlie Brooker, newspaper columnist. I do love him, though.

Charlie Brooker does mention his dual occupations in his Manualgate critique. "I work in both papers and t.v., so I feel like I can say with some authority that the papers are full of it."
