Oh holy shit. Excuse my language. I am in complete and utter awe over this competely fantastic and origina and interesting and just KDFJDSFJDSKLFJLKFJIOSDJFSDKLJFKLSDJFL AMAZING IDEA.

But these were some of my favorite lines.

"You can't simply be given peace of mind, and I'll be damned if I've taught you somewhere along the way that anything is that easy." John is about to make a snarky comment when Brian cuts him off, "And besides, cheaters don't get peace. Not for long, anyway."

That is SUCH a GOOD way to interpret that line. Like wow I'm so impressed right now I can't even speak. I love how it was Brian who said it.

AND

and John wonders vaguely if Stu could see the lights too, when he went.That line just broke my heart, because it shows that even after all those years John never forgot Stu, or ever stopped thinking about him or caring for him. AGUH JOHN. WHY DO YOU KILL ME LIKE THAT

Fantastic fic. I generally don't comment (especially since John/Paul isn't my thing), but it was all so good, I couldn't not. The Stu part just killed me.

Wow. So many incredible bits in this overall incredible piece... I loved when John was 'transported' to that grey room with just him and Paul, and Paul was still singing, but John couldn't hear him, and Paul wasn't paying attention to him, because John was a wallflower. So much in those few sentences to absorb and think about. I feel like that really showed how alone John could feel sometimes, even with Paul, and how much he wanted Paul to pay attention to him when all Paul could think about were the fans and what they owed them
