coping skills for when you feel chronically alone, empty, dead inside, thoroughly uninspired and unaroused by life?

agree with kidfear. When you can't even do that, go for a walk, go to an art museum, do something special for yourself. It doesn't always help a lot, but hopefully it helps a little.

Animal Crossing DS.

Seriously. There's a reason I have two copies. I get sucked in and "escape" into the game.

don't cope, go talk to a mental health professional who can give you the help you need to get back into a better place. i'm no psychiatrist, but those sound like classic symptoms of depression, and having been through it myself i can tell you that the doctors can help if you're willing to let them.

research suggests that exercise helps (if nothing else, you'll be too exhausted to think about things when you're done, although the burst of seratonin ["runner's high"] definitely helps). i find that for me, personally, keeping a journal (nice hard-bound volume which i use a fountain pen with) also helps.

I like listening to music that makes me really feel something...That honestly makes life more meaningful to me than anything else, heh...

I hope you feel better soon. ♥
