Better. Her last few albums, Enya's had a bad case of "All my songs sound just like all my other songs," in MHO. Not that the stuff isn't still good, but...
In Amarantine, she branches out with music from all over Europe and even pulls off a Japanese song called Sumerigusa, or Wild Violets. Plus, there's this one song called "The River Sings" that sounds like a mix of "Ebudae" and "Storms in Africa." Since I've always loved both those songs, this is rapidly becoming one of my favorite Enya numbers ever. :D
I love the songs she has that have rhythm and beat to them. Good examples are "Book of Days," "The Celts," "Orinoco Flow"...You get the idea. ^_^
Anyway, if you haven't listened yet, GOFINDIT. It's good stuff.
I've noticed! ^_^ I like what I hear so far, but I'm still waiting for that one number that'll grab my attention and run with it.
You know what I'm talking about. Chrono Trigger had lots of those kinds of songs. Cross had 'em, too: Scars of Time, At The Dream's Shore, Song of Marbule, Radical Dreamers...to name a few.
The game itself's got my attention right now, but I'll flip through the soundtrack later and look for the song.
