In addition to all the other craziness this weekend, there was TEA!

I've had a work-related craving for bubble tea with pearls (which I haven't had since I was in college, or slightly thereafter), so we stopped by Tea Garden on Saturday to drink bubble tea and write.

Continuing to work on an outline. Very slowly. I'm trying to avoid the things I've really disliked about the stories I've read in the slush. Like waiting too long to get to the story. The branch is off the tree and off the house. Even the guys who took it down say that there's really only superficial damage to the roof. Now we're just waiting for the claims adjustor and our contractor to find a time they can both come out to the house and survey the damage. Then we can get the repairs all taken care of. ...or more of a thud. On the 4th of July, a large branch fell from one of the trees overhanging the house and hit the roof. We were very lucky in that it only hit the edge of the roof, so (as far as we can tell) it's only damaged some trim and the edge of the shingles. 1. Destroyed my journal today. It got wet; the ink ran. (All the nice green ink, at least. Curse you, Liquid Stylist!) It only ruined words along the spine of the journal, but it bugged me.
