You cannot fix this situation. But you can fix one of the people in the situation and it isn't him.

There are things you can do right now that may seem painful in the short run, but will result in less pain in the long run. You are obviously at a more mature level emotionally than he is... you might be scaring him, and he responds to this with coolness and distance, because he may not feel ready for this kind of thing yet.

Frustrating as all hell, I kmow... and trust me, I know from bitter experience.

I guess when I posted that entry I wasn't considering that maybe he couldn't help what happened. I only saw him for two hours, if even that. On our one year anniversary...and there was nothing special about it. It just really wasn't how I wanted it to be. People have better one month anniversaries than our one YEAR anniversary. ::sigh:: But I guess I'm being ungrateful, I should be glad I saw him.
