Anything that will get me that merky effect like in #1,2,3,10 and 52, for example.

Well, in 1 and 52 the effect was already there on the original pic, i just enhanced the colors a bit. On the other icons it's a combination of white soft light layers, a grainy gray texture set on darken and then used again on color burn with a very low opacity. I could write a complete tut if you'd like, but basicallky the effect that you want is obtained playng with that kind of layers.
