How many times have I teetered
on the edge of destruction?
I am ashamed by the number.
But He covers all: my God is
full of Forgiveness and Wonder.
What a blessing it is
to receive such Grace and Mercy.
He retrieved me from the Pit.
He gives me strength to resist

I've seen something that
should never have been Seen.
And now demonic spirits plague me.
Oh, how easy it truly is
to give way to unbidden things.
How easy it is to wish that
this is only a fever dream.
The Truth remains so stark and clear:
I only know peace when Christ is near.

Wolves surround us, clothed in wool,
acting a lie with each and every breath.
If they are allowed to go unchecked,
these wolves will drag many to eternal death.

We resolve to put away
childish things in favor
of Responsibility;
yet here we are just
wasting away in front of
endless electronic screens.
Why did we comply when they
told us to pack up our dreams?
Why were we so blind to
their grand scheme of things?
Rather than think for ourselves
we regurgitate the same old memes.

No preparation.
A thousand thoughts a minute
swarm and create Woes:
"Why Didn't We See?"
"How Could We Have Known?"

WHY, ask I,
do you think this is
any different than before?
Who do you think
wrote our Folklore?

Pride sneaks in and is
hard to suspect
because everyone around
appears to be a problem.
Your own mind is the
only one that is sound.
