Have you ever had your eyes numbed?

Mar 13, 2007 09:28

Had to get up at an ungodly hour this morning and get to the hospital for an eye examination. It was a followup to my last visit (yes, only a year and a half later). So I hurry there, being a bit late, and I still get to sit and wait for 15 minutes. Oh well ( Read more... )

Teehee!

No, squirts in the eyes are never fun. Yay for no going blind though!

I wouldn't say you still being you is bad news, I kinda like you being you :)

Maybe that anesthetic could be marketed as a sex-aid, cause I didn't feel anything in my eyes afterwards. ;)

Yes indeed I have! I had it done at the hospital, no warning in advance that it would make me blind as a...well, I could see more than a bat I guess, let's say a not very good sighted person. Afterwards, fortunately I had not got there by car, I had to walk alone from the hosptial and home, especially the stairs from the hosptial area was abit tricky. It was a very interesting walk and I discovered there are alot of helpful sounds in one's every-day enviroment. Cars, busses, dogs and mad old ladies. :-)

I don't think this was quite as strong as that, it didn't really impair my vision at all. I did ask before he squirted, since I did drive there myself. Was still a very strange sensation though (or lack thereof). :)

I'm glad you're still you. I like you.

Also glad you're eyes are ok. They actually *touched* your eyeballs?? I shudder at the very thought. I can't stand touching my eyeballs.

Well, since my eyes very numbed I didn't feel the actual touching, but the anesthetic did sting a bit at first. And I can't stand eyeballtouching either, under normal circumstances. Just seeing someone apply contacts makes me cringe. *shudder*

-getting stuff squirted in my eyes (...shut up :P)-

I'm sorry...but I can't!! *giggles madly*

Actually is an annoying exam to have that one, may I ask what they were worried about? (glad it's all good by the way)

*spanks* ;)

I wasn't really worried, it was just a re-visit to be safe, after my optometrist found something unusual way back in 2005 ( read here). I went to the hospital to check it out later that year, but I didn't post anything about that visit here on lj, so that link will have to do.
