How can it be one's civic duty merely to vote? How can it be the shared duty of two people to give mutually contradictory orders? -

The Daily Hate
I was passing a newspaper stall yesterday, when I noticed a headline on the front page of the Daily Mail, saying:
" As first British child designed to be cancer-free is born, critics ask: Where will the meddling end? ".

A Merry Crisis
I rather like this new rumour about the "collapse of capitalism".
It brings to mind images of a merry chaos, in which all men are equally unable to get mortgages, and so their wives don't nag them for it.
It's like when a child's school is buried under snow. He stays at home, and the business of mankind pauses for one day.

Thoughts on salesfolk
In an episode of the British sitcom Coupling, the three main characters go into a stripclub, and one of them remarks: "This is scary. It's like porn that can see you.".
I feel that this eeriness extends to salesmen also. They are like advertisements that can see you. Quite unnerving. -

Timesickness
