I never know if this kind of statement means anything to anyone, but when I read this I instantly saw it as a short film. Maybe it's because while there isn't much happening in a physical or traditional plot sense, there are very tangible emotions from the scenes you give us. The actions that do happen also reinforce those emotions really well, which is why I think I get a cinematic sense from it. Idk, I really see this as one of those moody inaction indie flicks that I love.

weird commentary aside, poor wooyoung :(

The first section was my favourite - the burning house questions, and this:
all the beauty Wooyoung used to hear in his voice disappears and all that’s left is that terrible, hollow, flat apology that means nothing, nothing at all.

I thought your characterisation of Nichkhun was really good. Idk, the pleading and the apologies, I can almost hear him saying them :|

I'm in awe. I could see this playing out in front of me like a short film. It hurts but you just can't stop reading. The emotions conveyed, color in each scene so..fully.
And it was heartbreaking to read this. I think this was beautiful in it's heartbreak. How Wooyoung responds to this *shakes head* But it makes me wonder what was going through Nichkhun's head throughout this, especially the part where they walk past each other and Wooyoung doesn't stop, doesn't look back but keeps going forward despite feeling Nichkhun watching him. If I could quote all of this back to you, I would. But as it is, I'll try to cut down my top favorite parts

The phone wails, begging to be answered. Wooyoung doesn’t hear it - the only thing he hears is Nichkhun saying I’m sorry over and over again, until all the beauty Wooyoung used to hear in his voice disappears and all that’s left is that terrible, hollow, flat apology that means nothing, nothing at all. *bites lower lip*

thank you so much for this wonderful comment ♥ about the last part, it's open to interpretation - you can take it as a memory, or part of his present (and as part of his present, the unnamed character can possibly a new love or nichkhun) :)
