BLAINE, and OTA!For Blaine, this was sort of a YAY NO CRUTCHES party. The week before, he had finally gotten the cast off his leg and although he was still a little bit stiff at times from the accident injuries, he was walking again and finally rid of those bloody things that had slow him up for weeks. The first thing he and Kurt did when they got home from the hospital after getting the cast off was sex with Blaine on top because it had been near impossible for him to manoeuvre the heavy cast before. He wasn't going to drink, though. Ever since Quinn's false labour, Blaine had been stressing out and had already fought two migraines that week. The last thing he wanted was a hangover. He and Kurt seemed to mutually agree that booze was off the menu tonight. They were just going to have fun hanging out with their friends, and no more questionable, reckless or embarrassing behaviour for now. They were both too damn exhausted from it all

After getting herself a bottled water, and four or five cookies (they were really good, okay?!), Quinn spotted Blaine relaxing about ten feet away from her. The Braxton-Hicks contractions still came and went, frustratingly so, and honestly, at this point, Quinn was so tired of being pregnant. She couldn't wait to see Kurt and Blaine's baby, and better yet, see Kurt and Blaine with their baby. And honestly, as much as she loved them and had loved the time spent with them and carrying their baby? She was kind of looking forward to starting her own life in London. Whether or not any of them liked to admit it, there had definitely been moments when their relationship had strained under the pressure, and Quinn was seriously ready to get their lives back to some semblance of normal so that they could have the relationship they'd had before, only with a far more special bond between them

"Light," Blaine had to respond with a laugh. He had that damn thing on for so many weeks that to suddenly be without that extra weight had thrown him off balance. In fact, he had gotten up from the sofa before and stumbled into Puck, causing him to now be the brunt of many a 'finally falling for Puck' jokes for the duration of the party. "It's like I had to remember how to walk properly again. It was almost euphoric not to have to pre-plan position for making love to my husband too. First, last and only time I ever get into a car when I'm angry. I won't be making that mistake again. It's hard to even really remember what the fight was about. Emotions were just running high in general. It's... I mean this in the nicest possible way, but I'm relieved it's all nearly over. I mean, this part. This part over, and the start of the next part of our life

If ever there was an awkward moment, it was this. Nick and Jeff had invited him to a party because Jeff had emphatically insisted it was special and he wanted all their friends there, no arguments. The 'no arguments' thing had come right when Jeremy was about to make a weak excuse why he couldn't make it because he knew Quinn would be there. He thought the whole thing was best just avoided and he had moved on from it by working hard and even more work. As it was, Sebastian had stayed in London. He extended his leave of absence and Jeremy knew it was partly for him, but mostly because of the bit of something-something that was still happening with Mike Chang. Jeremy didn't know if it was anything serious, but he knew Sebastian was spending a lot of time with Mike lately and Sebastian hardly ever spent a lot of time with the same guy frequently

Once the party was in full swing, and everyone was chatting it up, Jeff made it his mission to find Kurt and force him to talk to him. Not that forcing Kurt to do anything usually turned out all that well, especially with them on edge with the impending birth of their baby. They were all excited for Baby Klaine's appearance, but there was a certain level of nerves that had to come with it for both the expectant fathers, and the babymama. Still, as he spotted Kurt in mid conversation, he planned out very carefully how to get over to him and get a moment to talk to him.
His moment came when Kurt took a moment to step away in search of a second helping of dip, which he wasn't using for chips, but cookies, and Jeff discreetly (or as discreetly as was possible for Jeff) made his way over to Kurt. Taking a deep breath, Jeff waited until Kurt had his plate to say, "Hi, Kurt... Thanks for coming. I know you're not really my biggest fan right now."
Kurt gave Jeff a look, but didn't say anything at first. Honestly, the look could simply be because Jeff had gotten in the way of the food reaching Kurt's mouth. It had become impossible to deny this sympathetic pregnancy thing lately. As Quinn reached the final stages of her pregnancy, Kurt was feeling weirder and weirder. He was far from fat, but he felt constantly bloated, and his back hurt, his feet ached, and there was no doubt he had those intermittent pains when Quinn was having braxton-hicks contractions. And fuck, had it hurt. To the point that Kurt was actually fearing the real labour in case it happened to him all over again, and worse with the baby really on the way. He had tried all sorts of natural remedies, but the fact of the matter was, as the pregnancy came to the final stages, Kurt was feeling it and thankful every single day that he wasn't a woman with female parts

"Kurt, that isn't true!" Jeff protested, shaking his head. "You're the first person I considered, and I invited you, but it was just via Facebook, and that was my mistake. I should've picked up the phone and called you. And then Blaine was joking, but because... again... it was on Facebook, I couldn't hear his tone, so I took him seriously. It really is my fault, Kurt, and I'm so sorry I left you out. I wanted you there more than you know... And I want you to plan the wedding, if Nicky says yes, and if you can forgive me for being a dick about things. I really didn't mean it." This whole thing seriously sucked, and Jeff knew that a great deal of the fault lay with him for not following up with Kurt via phone or direct email. Still, he wanted... no... needed for his friend to forgive him, or the memory of preparing to propose to the love of his life would always be tainted with the knowledge that, in preparing to do so, he had hurt someone very dear and special to him

Kurt held up his hand, eyes closing briefly to indicate he wasn't really going to buy Jeff's protests. "It is true, and you know it. You posted a wide-sweeping comment on Facebook about wanting someone to go shopping with you. I have two businesses, a husband, and a baby on the way, do you think I sit on Facebook all day waiting for people to talk to me? That was hardly an invitation. For all I knew, you wanted to try out a new brand of freaking toilet paper." He had been really hurt and offended to have not been Jeff's first port of call with any of this. It wasn't like he meant to hold a grudge, because he didn't, but he was a professional wedding planner who had won awards, worked for celebrities and had now been offered his own TV show (not that they ahd visited that issue since Blaine's accident). He was also a professional stylist and personalised shopper. If helping someone shop for an engagement ring with the intention of getting married wasn't something he was consider for right off, why shouldn't he be offended
