Mother Nature is a Trini.

Even though Tobago got hit pretty hard for an underdeveloped country, thankfully Trinidad was saved. We only experienced alot of high winds, and extreme stormy weather. Hi J!

I am sooooo glad to hear that you are okay! We are preparing for Ivan the Terrible here. I guess it's supposed to hit sometime on Monday. We'll spend the weekend boarding up - we've already stocked the cupboards and filled the vehicles with gasoline - now we just play the waiting game!

Take care and the people that were hit are in our thoughts and prayers also. I hope you can help out!

I know, I know, Ivan is now a Category 5 for cryin out loud. The varasity of some of these hurricanes is mind blowing! I'm convinced Mother Nature is a Trini though, we are the only island that seems to never be directly affected...but Florida on the other hand, woah, it's like a Storm magnet. Concerning Grenada, a few of us are having a meeting very soon with some of the rescue missions to see what we can do either financially or with produce for the more depressed areas. My heart really goes out to them, they are so underdeveloped and don't have alot of foreign investors, now it seems like whatever they did have will now have to take up and leave. People sometimes forget that devastation caused by extreme weather damanges more than just on a humanitarian level...their economy is going to take a serious plunge. Trinidad however, is very rich in wealth and our Prime Minister has already flown there to see what he can help he can give. It's nerve wracking though, to now be on the other side of the fence waiting and hoping that ( ... )
