Kamina vs Peony, celebrity deathmatch. Who wins?

Despite a strong early showing by the more physically capable Kamina, who is able to throw Peony around the arena and generally whip up the crowd into more of a frenzy, the inherent disadvantage written into his contract stating that he has to get grievously hurt every fight starts to come into play as a variety of freak coincidences start drawing blood every time he successfully lands a hit on Peony. For his part, the Emperor, just as used to beatings from Meryl and Becky as Kamina is from Yoko, doesn't get self-inflicted injuries nearly so much, and in a moment of Kamina's weakness manages to call in the rappig division who engage in a series of 708 flying headbutts to various pressure points on Kamina's body. The final blow is delivered via logical fallacy when Peony points out 'You're already dead' and Kamina blows up in the usual Celebrity Deathmatch style.

--also I can't think of something because I know very little about Loveless UH. Okay, yeah. I hear a lot about it - is it, in all honesty, that fucked up?

It is and it isn't. There's definitely a lot of psychological issues throughout the series, from OCD to child abuse, psychological abuse, and stuff. But it also is interesting because of that. LOVELESS is a series that shows humans being weak, broken, and Ritsuka's attempt to break out of this expectancy circle, that what is "supposed to be" or what is "destined", whether love or hate or what to expect out of relationship whether it is with your brother, parent or someone who wants to be your slave.

TL;DR Yes, it's pretty screwed up but that's part of what makes it worth reading.

How would the gingerbread cabin make Zetsubou despair? :Db

senseippuku May 5 2008, 21:23:21 UTC
Clearly it represents the excesses of mankind in the modern age, and is a shining temple to man's dependance upon stimulants to even survive amidst the crushing despair that pervades every day life. For a man to surround himself with a constant sugar rush, clearly that man must be so permanently depressed as to always need a distraction. That more than anything (except the next thing that comes along) has Zetsubou in despair.

Sharon's rappigs. Who does she name them after and what are each of their distinguishing characteristics? (Luke the Rappig is named such because of red-tinted fur to match Luke's red hair, etc.)

But the bakers agreed that it was preservative-free, sensei. :)

The rappig who's blind in one eye would be Xerxes, the really enthusiastic getting-into-everything one would be Oz, the standoffish darker-furred one would be Gil, and the surprisingly tiny runt one that never. stops. eating. would be Alice. :) And she would think they're all very cute♥

If you locked all three of your characters in a room together, how long would it take before a) someone died or b) something exploded?

senseippuku May 5 2008, 21:41:02 UTC
... there are a DRAMATICALLY STARTLING number of ways this could go down.

Kamina would suggest eating the rappigs. Peony would violently disagree. The laser rappig's defence mode would activate, Kamina would attack it, it would explode. Death count: 3. Either that, or Zetsubou would somehow hang himself with rope that wasn't there and/or Just Be Dead One Scene, and that would take about 3 seconds but wouldn't really count because, well, he's Zetsubou and dies every couple episodes. That's kind of similar to Kamina and explosions, really. You're looking at a very high index of explosion and/or death chance.

Question incoming when I get an idea.

I CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING MORE INTERESTING so how about just relationship meme for Peony and Mia, especially his thoughts on her dating a toaster.

inpignation May 5 2008, 23:31:24 UTC
The basics haven't changed a jot. Mia's an exceptionally useful ally and someone you wouldn't want to cross, she's smart and witty and pretty urbane and yeah occasionally EVIL but he won't hold that against her. She's great, basically.

He's aware there's some BIG STORY about Mr. Toaster, and he's aware that in the past he wasn't toastered and that he used his actual name (which Peony now knows from the whole deage) but... that's fine! Peony isn't so rude as to press for information in a situation where it would clearly be dangerously offensive. Whatever crap Godot's got going on, he seems fine and happy as he is. He's pretty smooth, seems pretty capable, Peony reckons he's got his reasons so he won't push it.

MIA VS. AANG. WHO WINS aside from the godmode bending stuff.

defrestsinpeace May 5 2008, 23:39:38 UTC
Depends on what they're fighting over, but almost certainly Mia. Aang's power of Jesusing are strong, but Mia is fairly Jesus proof. What's more, she's crafty and has logic and is capable and willing to be slightly underhanded if it's for a cause that she believes is. What's more, the issues that Aang would be really firm on (like believing in people and justice) Mia would probably be on board with. Otherwie, she could probably get him seeing her side. Unless it was one of her button issues (her cousin, her aunt or her murderer), she would almost certainly be able to get Aang seeing things her way. And then if it WAS one of her buttons, there's no force on Earth that can get her to budge, up to and including death. So.

Mia wins.

Are there any characters (who are not and haven't ever been in camp) that you love SO MUCH that you don't want to be the one to play them so that you can bounce your characters off of them.

I will get back to you on this when I can type for longer i.e. at work tomorrow. It is probably long and rambly and encompasses why I app characters.

(Although I would kill for more Zetsubou characters, and I would also kill for Gurren lolfang-tan. And Tear back in camp. Peony loev Tear.)

PEONY GETS TO LEAVE CAMP, would he take his retarded family with him, or not?

... that DEPENDS if it's a one-way trip and if it has to be done NOW ( ... )

o peony

lolol, this is an easy one. Becky would accept, no matter the circumstances. Because even if it was one-way only, she wouldn't want to stay in camp without her most important people; plus she has no idea how long it'll be before she gets the chance to go back to her own world (or if that'll ever happen), so if she goes with Peony she'll at least be with someone she likes. Also I'm pretty sure she'd bug Dist to help her build a machine that'd let her hop across worlds, i-if only to let people know she's okay ("bbl gais i'm learning about fonons o/").

If by some miracle of faith Nephry became available (ie: divorce/widowing/etc), would Peony go after her?

Reply

inpignation May 6 2008, 12:37:14 UTC
And then no-one bats an eyelid at her because she's tiny and moronic and clever and blonde-and-blue-eyed and really all you need is the tan to be a spitting image. Media and council shitstorm re: the parentage, though!

Nnnnnnnnnnndamn youooooo. No, I don't think so. They've both gotten wiser and more capable and have not so much moved on as learned to deal. There are still the same rules regarding proprietry and social classes as there were before - Nephry may be a governess now and all but one burned twice shy. They're fine, if morons, and there's still too much for Peony to do with his kingdom to set it right after the war. Maybe, several years after the ending. Doubtful, though.

Kamina gets to pick any of my characters to join the Brigade. Who gets in and who gets the boot?

Reply

inpignation May 6 2008, 13:12:29 UTC
I think everyone gets in...? Yeah, I think everyone, up to and including Death (though Death gets a free punch to the face). Kamina's lost many preconceptions and prejudices regarding camp's members and, ultimately, has decided that as long as they're not from his world he will give the benefit of the doubt and sign up anyone who reckons they could do it.

Setsuna Kamina can't mesh with very well but he recognizes she can kick the crap out of things.
Death looks the fucking part dude all he needs are some flames and shit, awesome.
Kyou is a regular shouty moron, he's fine. The curse is clearly an evil beastman trick played on him.
Jenny's a robot, that's fine. We've got Boota. Jenny is sort of like Boota.

AM I MISSING ANY
