3 day weekend!  I love having an extra day to do stuff.  Yesterday I made the trip to Ikea.  I need bedroom furniture, badly.  There's practically nothing in my room.  So I drove the hour and a half to north D.C.  I found 4 beds I liked, which if you know me, is horrible.  The only people in this world who are more indecisive than me are my sisters ( Read more... )

I've survived yet another week!  Nothing out of the norm-just looking at spread sheets for 9 hours a day, 5 days a week.  I am definitely learning a lot; sometimes I learn so much my brain hurts.  But there is so much more to learn!  I'll never be bored, that's for sure.  There is pressure to learn quickly.  I feel like every day, Mark - my team ( Read more... )

You have to love America.  At first I laughed at her stupidity.  Then I got really angry at how sue-happy Americans are!  Really?  I can't believe it.  It's like the woman who sued McDonald's because she spilled hot coffee on herself and blamed them.  Unbelievable.

Let's start this story on Saturday.  I woke up at 5:30am to finish packing the truck and load my car on the tow dolly.  Well, it took me and Dad longer than we thought, so instead of leaving at 7 like I wanted, it was closer to 8.  But we managed to drive the Budget truck with car being towed, all the way to Maryland without incident! I'm in the final stages of leaving.  Almost everything is in boxes; dad and I are going to start loading the truck tonight.  I hate packing-I don't care if it's a 2 day trip or a "move my whole life" trip, so I can't wait to be in Maryland and unpack.

I have a job!  Starting July 6, I'll be working for the Navy (as a civilian) in Maryland, doing cost analysis for NAVAIR (the division that deals with the planes and helicopters).  I'm moving in about 9 days.  Packing and cleaning are pretty much my life ( Read more... )
