my dearest, dearest friend has just moved to olympia (about 45 min. away). she is in the same predicament of knowing no one. i will put you in touch with her if you like--i know it's a bit far but she's worth it...and she spends most weekends in seattle.
I've lived in Seattle since December. It's carnival for the passive-aggressive. They worship Mt. Rainier like a totem. Thai food as far as the eye can see.
I'll be leaving end of April, however, for more far-flung pastures. You stoping by anytime this month?
nice to hear your mumbly sleepy-head voice, si. i look forward to meeting you too! if you tell me your interests i'll see what i can dig up in the seattle area that you might be inflamed by.

I think you two would get along very well.
Seattle is beautiful...grey and green and blurry.

'tis true! I am a Seattle girl. I've lived here since fall of 1995.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the Emerald City, or would just like to make a friend in the area.

I am not a fan of butoh, I must admit. Thanks for the invite, though.

Keen.
Immediately before this, a mountaintop in SoCal. For a longer haul before that, the Bronx.
