I have a question. Your response is required.

Has anyone found that their gain at the post office outweighed their sacrifice? If you are incapable of a detailed answer, which is preferable, a yes or no reply will suffice.

Whether I am is none of your business.

-Easily- yes. [It sounds like she's in a lot of pain, though.]

Once I recover, I'll be capable of building a replacement for what I lost, and for any others who may have lost limbs. [Not true. But Theta doesn't know that.]

Besides...in a way...I've just gained back two things from home... [A rueful, pained laugh.] This...is just a fresh infliction of an old injury...

Tell me what it is you lost.

[why ask when you can demand?]

Not a bloody chance! I lost two fingers just to get some clothes back. And then I just bled all over them. Not fair at all if you ask me.

[This face forever not that you can see it, but whatever]

...Clothes.

Yes! I had no idea the price would be so steep. I hate to know what the more expensive things on my list cost. My lungs? My legs?

Did... did you know the consequences of using the post office at the time?

[She is baffled. COMPLETELY BAFFLED.]

I believe so, yes. I gave up my arm...but I reclaimed my white magic, and was able to heal other people.

Why not use it to put your arm back on?

[Laughs quietly.] I would, if the Postman had not taken it.

Regular medical care would suffice for most people's injuries. Without having the limbs to put back on, that was a rather pointless exchange.
