No Vacation, Short Course is in Due Session

Jun 09, 2009 15:37

Though I'm pretty sure my score in theory classes aren't so bad, yesterday my result in a practical class just failed.
Fumbled, flopped, flimsy FAILED.

Do allow me to yell out.

For a while just concentrate on studying... you're clearly suffering from not being able to see your family but gambare! they will want you to try hard too! and then maybe when your head's a bit clearer you can decide about the job and stuff but if you're really broke like me ;_; then go for it... will support you sis!

Ah, I'm sorry about your results. Just work hard, believe in Allah and in yourself, I'm sure you'll pass it next time, inshallah!

And good call on Starbucks, I don't even go in there anymore.

Thank you so much. *hugs*

You're right, I have to have more confidence and work harder. I remember someone quoting that Allah will not change the fate of a person unless they persevere for it. I'll do my best!

Before, I never went to Starbucks unless my dad was around since the prices are way too expensive. After finding about their relation to Israel, I'm trying to convince my dad to find another coffee place.
I'm trying to lay off eating at McDonald's too. Shame they're just about the only reliable 24-hour restaurant around here. :(

Aww :( That sucks! Maybe you were just overwhelmed! I too got a grade this semester for Humanities, that I'm not happy with x.x It was *almost* an A!!

I think you should focus only on your studies now. And you are right, redoing the classes is much better than leaving college altogether :O When you feel you are ready to handle a job, go for it! I think you should apply for that phone job :D

You have a diverse family =O. Mine is almost entirely Egyptian XD.

I never tried Starbucks, I just make my own coffee. Never heard the detail of them supporting Israel though :)

Sorry it took me so long to reply.

Not to sound desperate or defending myself, but you're right. Partly it was because I was overwhelmed. I don't know what my teachers want, what's their criteria of "good enough", and lacking several tools doesn't help, either. :(

I'd love to apply for that phone job. If only it was still in the same city, then it'd be perfect. The cost or traveling to their place from mine is the same as 2 days worth of eating.

My family's split up into Indonesians and Japanese. I'm still surprised by how many unknown relatives I have. *0*

I think the issue of Starbucks supporting Israel was discussed at mg before. I don't remember the details, though.

Lol, it's okay, really :D

Lol, the academics in the U.S isn't so harsh when compared to other countries. I too was overwhelmed with the reading material for that humanities course, and skipped off with a B XD. I would not blame myself, the courses you are taking *are* difficult but you are doing better than what I would do for those classes XD!

The cost or traveling to their place from mine is the same as 2 days worth of eating.
Ouch o_O Then maybe the movie theater :)! It would not hurt to apply :D

Lawl, I have heard/seen just about everyone in my mom's side of the family. It's a huge family. And their loud talking and gossip does not keep them quiet!

I don't get why Starbucks is so popular. I'd rather get myself those espresso machines and make them myself :DD
