I had to attend an 8 hour meeting today after you know, working my butt off 14 hours yesterday. The second most experienced tech left and our lead tech went on vacation at the same time, go figure. I've abandoned all forms of social media by now. I no longer feel compelled, nor encouraged, to communicate through any network. I don't want to contribute, I don't want to make friends, hell, I don't even want to network with my peers for a better job. I did get a cool Princess Bride glass, cute food and guts things, and this beautiful Asian ball-jointed-doll from Cat! I always loved playing with dolls, granted not in the traditional way, as I set my Barbies and My Little Ponies up to be Amazon soldiers fighting a long and epic war with my brother's Ninja Turtles and Transformers. First Christmas at the new house, set up a tree and everything! My mom came over to spend time with us, and we were expecting family of a pharmacy schoolmate to visit, but it began to rain and sleet and snow and they had to get back to Houston, so no go with that. The house was all clean and ready to be seen, too, but alas, not this year.

Monday I went home to take care of my mother who seemed to have contracted the stomach bug, probably from her boyfriend whom she had to take to the ER, presumably when he was visiting her. I'm just at a really low point in my life right now, nothing makes me happy, drama has happened that should not have. I feel so low not even my queen princess bed comforts me that much, and that is really low. Worked 2 14-hour shifts in one week, bought leather couches for the home, got my brother's birthday gift settled up, went to the State Fair again on Sunday and actually got to see people I mean to see, ate a fried peanut butter and jelly and banana sandwich there, saw Big Tex's grave ( Read more... )
