... A fictional character? I can't say I have, but.. isn't that just a really weird thought? If you'd meet someone who's a fictional character in your world in this place, you could also be a fictional character in someone else's world.

I could be a fictional character? [The thought hadn't crossed her mind.] I... suppose I could be. But it would be a very odd story indeed.

If you watch today's tv shows, you'll find that there are plenty of odd stories on there, right? It's weird to think of my own life as a story, but.. it would explain a lot too.

You know... it would explain a lot for me too.

But does that mean there's some writer out there controlling my existence? I feel pretty in control of myself, but...

Dear Miss Grimmholtz:

No, I have not. Are you beginning to imagine things? That's the first sign, they say.

Sincerely,

Jack

[Him again. Ingrid smiles in spite of herself.]

Dear Jack,

If I were going crazy, would you perhaps enjoy the company?

Sincerely,

Ingrid

Dear Miss Grimmholtz,

Aye, we would very much enjoy it, we would. Have you been there before?

Most Sincerely,

Dear Jack Sparrow,

I have only visited, but I found the scenery not to be to my liking and did not stay long.

Sincerely,

Ingrid

Actually, I've had it the other way around. Seems I'm a fictional character in a few other universes. I've got to admit it's a strange feeling.

[He's in his Superman costume for this one, just to make it very obvious who she's talking to in case she's one of said universes.]

[She most definitely is. She stares at the screen for a moment, and then fumbles for the voice option.]

You're- you're really- you really are-

Are you really Superman?

[He chuckles a bit at that, rubbing the back of his head as if embarrassed.]

You know, I get that reaction a lot even back on my own world.

Yes, miss, I'm Superman. Always nice to meet someone who knows me.

That's incredible! How- I wonder if-

[Ingrid, apply brakes to that runaway enthusiasm, dear.]

I'm sorry, I'm being very rude. It's a pleasure to meet you.

I'm afraid not. Although it may be just as well, under the circumstances.

What do you mean by that?

I can't imagine most characters out of an opera would find this place to their liking.

[Ingrid laughs, but unfortunately this triggers a bout of coughing that takes about thirty seconds to get under control.]

There are people here from Star Trek.

...Also, I've been told I have a show. Apparently a movie, too.

Ah, then you've met him. [And apparently comes from a world and time a lot like his if she's familiar with the same shows, he notes.]

I'm Fox Mulder. A very non fictional FBI agent in the version of the universe I'm from.
