Yep. I knew it. I'm unable to write fluffy, happy things.
I even tried, but I couldn't bear posting it, so... now for the opposite end of the spectrum--I got really bored one day and read too much Plath. :P

Very well done. I like how you take the potential scenarios to their inevitable conclusion.

I like the line: Or they will forget me. Entirely.

The reason why is because you're talking about leaving the world, and this line gives a sense of loneliness that pulls it together.

I also like the last line. It's very simple. The way to death can be descriptive, as you let your imagination wonder at it. However, the choice appears very simple.

i'm struck with the realization that you have a gift for writing short stories that feel and sound like poetry. seriously - read them aloud - they do!

hooray for strategically placed commas! hooray for skillful use of similes and other poetic imagery!

i really loved the end when your protagonist chooses life, as though (s)he were doing so out of boredom or obligation haha. overall, nice work :)
