Yeah I just sorta throw books around all day! It's fun but I'm still wondering when the hammer will drop. I am so scarred from my shitty job at Sam's that I keep expecting the worst to happen every single day. The pay is shit but I only get to work like 37 hours a week so not only am I poor I have PLENTY OF FREE TIME

Bob, this post speaks to me. I work 20 hours a week. I am pretty much the only shelver who even gets that many and I have to fight for it. I think because they want me to work so few hours that I don't get insurance. Also, the hammer hasn't dropped on me since I started working there in 2002, which just makes me freak out about how overdue it is.

Don't worry. We'll freeze to death before we run out of oxygen.

Heh, actually, thats what I did all day today. Shipment came in and I spent about 6 hours chucking books around into totes as I sorted. Plus side is that I don't have to deal with idiot customers on truck days, and I can put on my headphones and sling books around all afternoon.
