i really like your diatribe about being crowned "most wittiest of them all..." even if it's not grammar-friendly. :)

and i want 2 things: a really good bottle of sake and a wall scroll. :) preferably an eva wall scroll.

The grammar was intentional, I assure you. It adds to the comedic value. Or so I think. I'm not very good at that sort of thing.

Sake can be cheap or 'spensive. Good stuff is 'spensive, just like good wine here. I could probably get you a decent 5 year old bottle for 20 bucks or so. The wall scroll will oddly enough be harder to do. EVA's kinda old there, and, despite it's popularity, I'll wager it'll be a hard find. I'll see what I can do, however.

I want you to have fun.

My mom flipped when I decided to go to Cuba for part of the week I was supposed to be in Canada 'cause her brother passed away and we were supposed to be spreading his ashes up there. I thought it wasn't a big deal for me to come later in the week and we could do it then, but she wanted to get it over with right away 'cause it was emotional (of course we didn't end up doing it until the end of the week anyway). Finally, she totally resigned to the fact that I was going and was all ok with it. I talked to my sister about it 'cause I thought it was weird that she had such an extreme change of heart and my sister said that my mom said that she had to just accept the fact that I was always gonna be a vagabond. :-)

Your parents will get used to it. You're a big boy now.

Or they'll grow older and die never truly understanding it. Perhaps senility will wipe it from their waking minds and it will no longer be an issue.
