I'm so lame. I criticize the deterioration of The L Word, but when I discovered episode 501 on youtube, I literally squealed with joy. I can't be objective the first time I see a new episode because I get so excited about there being a new episode, and I keep expecting it to be good like it used to be. Whatever. They're baaack! i actually thought that paige looked cute for once. i don't like blondes, especially amazonian blondes, but i was actually checking her out.

and i thought helena looked cute in prison.

did you like it overall?
i smiled a lot during this episode, i think they did a good job at making jenny a complete biatch.

Paige has a cute face. But that's about it for me. I too (with a few exceptions) am not into blondes.

Helena did look cute in prison. Her situation is amusing.

Overall, the episode was entertaining. Some parts were a bit obvious (e.g. the blonde realtor chick mentioning a bunch of girls Shane fucked in fron tof page). But I'm feeling some optimism.

They did do a good job of making Jenny a bitch, and Mia Kirshner plays it well. But I am very anti-Jenny. Although I'm starting to be able to laugh about it instead of feel annoyed. She was in full form in 501 though, and I wanted Paige to just sit on her.

Are you pro Jenny?

i'm feeling optimistic about this season too. i saw this semi-trailer, semi-inside look on season 5, and basically the producers [and the actresses] were just like "yeah we wanted season 5 to be like season one but better ( ... )
