WashU or Cornell?

I've been to washU and I was going to visit cornell, but I don't think I'm going to visit since the plane tickets cost 1200 dollars to Ithaca.

if you search hotwire.com

which i did for you

and you look for tickets departing on apr. 24 and returning apr 26 then the tickets are $694

for apr 25 to apr 26 its 684

1.because its later... tickets closer to today's date are more costly
2.its during the week
3.its hotwire
which means you can get cheaper tickets from priceline.com bid with amounts lower than hotwire's cost that they give you and normally you can get everything cheaper on priceline even though they're competitors.

The thing about Cornell is that its in the middle of FREAKING NOWHERE and there’s like 1 mall you can go to for entertainment and nothing else for like miles and miles, and each flight back home is a huge endeavor (plus a lot of $$). Like the airport is an hour away or something, I might be making that up though. Since there’s nothing to do, that also necessarily implies that everyone gets drunk like all the freaking time because there’s nothing else to do. I don’t know if that’s your scene or what, but its something to keep in mind.

It sure looks pretty there though, but like I read in Mel’s lj post, pretty things are for children. You can only stare outside for so long before you get bored. I get bored easily though.

I think you’d like WashU better, but what do I know.

Collegiate drunkenness is universal and has no regard for the placement of the school.

Every student who wants it will have it.
Every student who resists it will avoid it.
In every city.

(All I'm saying is, don't consider it a factor worth noting in choosing a school. Too independent. Too arbitrary.)
