It's a lot harder than it seems!!!!! The main rooms are painted, the other rooms will be easy since we don't have furniture in them. I still haven't taken any pictures. Our lens ( Read more... )

"She will pee even if she just went outside. I know she can hold it!!! She holds it all day & then she'll hold it all night!!!! What the fuck???"

haha my dog was the same. I think the best thing you can do is when she pees inside, firmly say no (nothing else) then take her outside. When she does pee outside, make sure you give her lots of praise. Taking her out regularly is mostly what you have to do, she will catch on eventually. I think at first we had to take my dog out like every hour, it was so annoying, but he's really smart about it now.

As for chewing, that's tough business, just make sure you never let her chew clothes or things that are similar to clothes. Get toys that are totally different. Get her bones to chew on - like rawhide or whatever. Some dogs get really into it. My dog will spend hours chewing away, it keeps him totally occupied and then tired after ha.

She's been doing good for 4 days now. No accidents. I still can't trust her to go into the carpeted rooms though, not yet anway. She's not too bad of a chewer if she has her rawhides. She has the big knotted rope thingy too.

I asked Harris to give you some advice on housetraining dogs. He should be able to help.

Good to hear about the house - I can't wait for pictures! Housepainting is tough though.

Hope you had good holidays. ^_^

She's been doing good for 4 days now...no accidents. I still can't fully trust her to be alone in the carpeted rooms. Not yet anyways. I think she's catching on though. When I first heard the name Daybreak (on your journal) I thought it would be a great border collie name. Who knew!!!
