post call

i decided that your senior resident is like your mom. she tells you what to do all the time. and you have to do it even if  you dont want to. but those moments when you find yourself stranded, shes there to back you up and scoop you out of the shit. its a love hate thing

im post call. this being the first time ive ever been on call. ever.

i hate it.

sometimes, when i'd be post all-nighter, or during a long night, i'd sit and concentrate really hard on a song I really love -- like mum or bjork -- and sort of meditate for 5 minutes. i'd feel refreshed afterwards.

rock on, dude. it might get easier, or you might get good at stocking up on sleep before the call night. *hug*

when im post call i go home, stip off my scrubs and collapse on top of my bed. i generally sleep for about 4 hours before i get up and spacely wander around my apt.

i remember college all nighters too. they werent like this. :P
