The world was a million million interlocking patterns, and suddenly Harry knew how to shift them subtly to change the way they worked. He stretched out, and felt the minds and hearts of the Muggles in the nearby towns, and in the cities beyond. He stretched further, and found Hogwarts; one swift flex of his thoughts and every mirror in the building shattered. Better safe than sorry, Harry told himself, and smiled. There would be no attack on Hogwarts this dawn or any other. He stretched his mind further still, beyond the bounds of this world and into the other place where Voldemort had built his lair, and he shattered all the mirrors there. In the void between worlds, Voldemort's scream of wrath rang out, and Harry knew he had been seen and known. Voldemort's mind brushed his, and the contact was like the skittering brush of cockroaches crawling over a sleeper's face. Harry was revolted, but not afraid.

Oh, yesWow ( ... )

First off, let me tell you that I absolutely adore this story. I'm having difficulty stopping in order to get on with certain responsibilities, all of which seem unimportant in comparison.

I just wanted to make a comment on your usage of the Imperius and Cruciatus curses. If I recall correctly, the words to cast the curses are different from the name of the curses themselves. So far, you have used Crucio as both the word and the name of Cruciatus. Also, when Harry casts Imperius, he should be saying 'Imperio', not 'Imperius'.

Otherwise, fantastic story.

Oh BLESS you for that. Yes, you're right. I'll go poke the text with a stick.

While you're poking, I might point out that when spells are spoke in canon, they are italicised. I'm not sure why this is, but there you have it.

Lovely, lovely fic. Fabulous burglar alarms.

"I'm not a complete idiot, you know."

"Which part is missing?" Draco asked. He was, Harry could see, doing his damnedest to be his usual self.

"My patience," snapped Harry.

And the above has to be my favorite part about this chapter.

Do you know, I'd absolutely not registered that spells were usually written in italics. Hmm. Will try to sort that out too.

Spelling: Dumbledore's masterlhy technique

automatic port key thing-- Portkey?

And you're still killing me. I'm glad Harry did go and rescue Draco, of course-- but the power Harry's found, and he's trying to comfort Draco and he needs that returned, and oh... *hugs them both*

The world was a million million interlocking patterns...

Brilliant stuff. It's 4am here, and I've been up for hours reading this now. I don't read much fic these days: when I come across something like this, it makes me remember why I still bother. Thanks for a cracking rollercoaster of a story. Can't wait to see what happens.

"That's an interesting decision," said Draco shakily.
