I'm going through a very old hymnal with shape notes to pick out a few pages for use on placemats at a dinner during Homecoming (with the alumni office, my job is mostly data entry and event planning). I should really know better by now. It seems that every single cursed time I go up the stairs (instead of using the elevator) while carrying a beverage, I fall. Every morning and afternoon I drive past a small cemetery with a park tucked all around it. One of the memorials is a statue of a boy standing next to a statue of a sitting little girl.
