1. I don't have MS. My father does. I take care of him. Should have made that more clear in my last post, which was just me sort of talking about the condition and blahblahblah.

2. I think I'm running a workshop at Hampshire College, in April. What do you hate about the way workshops are traditionally run?

The majority of the swelling in my lymph node has gone down, though there is some residual pressure that makes me nervous, as it's been hanging on for a couple weeks. So, the specialist has no exact diagnosis, but he apparently plays in a smaller ballpark than the general practitioner.

It's either an infected/obstructed salivary gland --Unlikely, as my saliva is clear when the parietal gland is stimulated-- or an infection in the lymph node...which is contained inside the salivary gland, apparently.  If infection ( Read more... )

Backslid a little at IWPS.  I figured I would.  Kept a tight enough rein on things that I may as well have been drinking soda instead of gin & tonic.  Back to nothing, at the homeplace.

 i still drink more than i am comfortable with.  earlier this year, after concern was expressed by several of my friends, i poured out a bottle of whiskey and cut way back.  even at nationals, I drank, but with one notable exception (pot) i didn't really lose control.  I've limited myself to two or three beers, or mixers, or whatever, or I've ( Read more... )
