Jimmy Carter had alot of great ideas, but the senate and house that were under his term wouldnt work together. he is a good human rights activist. plus he does the Habitat for Humanity.
but politics do suck. and I keep them out of my music.
Why is it everyone always has their piece to say about politics, and then they end it with "but yeah, politics suck and I try to stay away from it all"?
I mean, I don't like fruit rollups, but I never say something like "The red ones have a better flavor than the rest when you really think about it, plus they're made with real fruit, so that's a bonus. But yeah, fruit rollups suck, I don't like them."
I mean, I do the same thing with politics, so I'm not trying to pick on you or anything. Just makes me wonder why the hell we do it. We all get sucked in to it, therefore we all end up having an opinion about it, even when we might not really want to and maybe we'd rather just not know. But I have a question. Have politics been more "in-your-face" and completely inescapable the last few years, or is it just me? Has it always been like this and I just wasn't aware of it? Or did they really become louder and more obnoxious about it?
I think the people have always been like this, but now there are more forms of media to express it. I've seen a lot of political expression in my time, but I've never actually witnessed a bra being burt.
Bush is a bastard, in many, many ways - but when push comes to shove, I know he believes in America and Americans.
After my years in San Francisco, watching the radical student left, and after having heard Kerry's testimony in his days as a student protester, I do not think I can say that about Kerry. I'm not too sure which side those urbanites are on.
