So OK, at the last Madrigal event, there was maybe going to be yet another bunch of open-mic entertainment. It was somewhat of a relief that it didn't end up happening, but even so . . . well, I came up with a story to tell, and since I didn't tell it I've decided to write it up. Sadly, it's pretty self-conscious now. But it began as an attempt to steer myself away from (accidentally) beginning every frickin' post with that phrase.

So you've passed from the early, edgy, self-mocking, ironic "So okay," and now it's more of a catch-phrase, piped-in laugh-track, crying on the toilet for the loss of your authenticity while you do another line of coke to wash away the pain kind of "So okay"?

First of all, this is fantastic.

Second of all, it brought a lump to my throat... Rowan is trying so hard not to think about Jahanatta leaving, and she is going to be beside herself when he does.
