For a town that is, effectively, the major industrial center on Gaia, it's should come as hardly a surprise that the stars are remarkably hard to see, even on the Plate itself. Of course, given that the days can be downright smoggy on the best of days this should hardly be a surprise ( Read more... )

In this case, it should be rather welcome, as a matter of fact - even if he doesn't come to the door as she enters, despite the fact the he can probably hear her enter. The reason for this? Is more than likely due to his tendencies to bring his work him with him. Not surprisingly, she'll find him holed up at his computer doing (presumably) Important Things.

No need at all - and he'll smile as she drapes over him.

But he'll get whatever it is that he's working on to a decent stopping point before actually saying anything though.

"Of course." There's another smile at that. HE's no problem with late night walks, least of all with her.

He nods at that, and lets her take his hand. He might not know too much about Shadow, but he figures that he can probably manage for however not-terribly-long they're going to be there.

He nods at that, eyes glowing faintly in the dim light as he looks around at the unfamiliar place (and tries to acclimatize himself to the unfamiliar smells).

And he's quite content to follow her, so she won't exactly have to pull particularly hard. Luckily, the semi-cold doesn't seem to bother him - although he'll let his wings out all the same. Maybe it's something to do with the nature of this place?

Even if they answer his questions, he may never actually understand - he's not always great with people.

As for the Unseen Follower trick, he manages to keep it from bothering him, if only for a rather brief period of time. And then he'll be moving closer to the light of the streetlights, looking back over his shoulder periodically as if he's looking for a shadow, or anything else to tell him there's a perfectly logical reason to this phenomenon.

Oh, he probably knows about that. And may be using that to his advantage. Or he may just be a scared little man trying to outrun his fears.

The sudden quietness startles him, and worries him a bit, but he doesn't think to call a cab - no need, right?
