The fact that there's a Sephiroth in the Nexus is hardly any surprise - as there's anywhere from one to five there on any given day, but this one is still comparatively new to the Nexus.
And for the moment, he'll just be busy trying to get a feel for the contained chaos of the place, as he wanders idly through.

Which...is probably why Zack told him to get out. Get some fresh air, so to speak. So out he gets, walking aimlessly as he slightly grins at Nexus happenings.

"I can't think of who else I might be," he answers calmly.
This... might not end well. But at least he hasn't drawn Masamune yet.

"I can't answer that, Cloud. I wasn't the one who was there."
Not that... he expected the other version of himself to be of much help if he'd followed the path that only luck had saved him from.

Cloud's memory might be bad, but it wasn't that bad.
Damn Sephiroth for belittling Zack's sacrifice.
"Then who was, Sephiroth? Answer me that."
Reply
"I would have been," he finally answered, "had it not been for a timely intervention."
Thank the gods Zack had had the sense to stop him.

He eyes Sephiroth out of the corner of his eyes, quickly going back over their conversation of the last few moments. He had... but Sephiroth had said... but he hadn't attacked yet and... he hadn't taunted Cloud with destruction or the massacre of his loved ones and now, now Cloud was very confused.
Cloud's eyes narrowed in suspicion at the taller man, almost wanting Sephiroth to return to the way he was before. It was... easier dealing with that man.
"...What?"
Reply
"He's fine."

"And he's still at ShinRa? You all are?" Cloud's fishing, if Sephiroth hasn't already picked that up.

Sephiroth's noticed, but doesn't mind answering questions for the time being. It the least he can do after all.

"You shouldn't be," Cloud says before he even has a chance to censor himself. He shifts uncomfortably before deciding that he might as well warn them. He owed it to Zack, at the very least. This Zack. The other Zack? No matter, it was still Zack. "Hojo."

His Cloud, on the other hand, might have been disappointed if he hadn't made it.

"What did I do wrong?" Cloud chokes out, fingers grasping at Sephiroth's sleeve. "I tried so hard, and I just wanted to be strong and fast and not be left behind." Cloud's not thinking how strange it is to be seeking answers from his 'enemy'. After all, he had aspired for SOLDIER because of Sephiroth and Zack. This blow was just one too many for his self-worth. "I'm always left behind," he finishes quietly.

After all, he couldn't exactly be be blamed for having his dream be derailed by the destruction of his hometown and all he cared for.

"Do you... think so? You think I would have made it?" Something's happening here, and Cloud's afraid that the wrong word would mess it all up again.

Cloud looks startled at that, a considering look surfacing a moment later. "I... never thought of that. I guess the Nexus is good for something after all." Cloud pauses, smiling imperceptibly up at Sephiroth. "I'm glad."

Cloud blushes. Embarrassingly.
It seems like being around a Sephiroth that is... well... sane is making Cloud revert back to his old reactions.

And he'll be quite willing to stay here for a while, and answer any questions this Cloud might have. He figures it's the least he can do, considering the actions of his alternate.
