Thumb Wars 2: Attack of the Cancerous Growth
So some may remember me mentioning cutting off the tip of my thumb four weeks ago or so. Well, it was supposed to have healed already, but it hasn't. I peeled the scab off two days ago and say this odd bubble coming out of my mostly healed thumb. It had nerve endings and felt solid, so I ruled out a blister. The scary part is sticking your legs out of a plane at 10,000 feet. Even off of a small Cessna, the wind is so strong it tugs your legs back along the plane, plaintively at first, but with greater urgency as you are pushed forward, till you're hanging past the landing gear strut staring down a tunnel 10,000 feet deep. This week has been...wild? I didn't get to go skydiving last Sunday because of horrible weather, but I'm supposed to jump twice this Sunday, so that should make up for it. Bored in Kansas
Kansas can be boring. My program is going well, though I'm finding it really hard to learn MATLAB with no previous programming experience. The other interns are great, and we have spent several a night playing Call of Duty with our good friend Jack D.
