Well, I finished the first chapter of A Wizard of Earthsea and I really don't have much motivation to read further. The setting is rich and colorful, but the characters are flat. The vast majority of the chapter was exposition told from an omniscient point of view. ( Read more... )

I watched Marley and Me this weekend. It was funny. In case the commercials confused you, it's the story of a young couple who buy a yellow lab puppy. The puppy turns out to be chaos incarnate. Of course, then they add babies to the mix and life gets even more interesting ( Read more... )
