Just to clear up the discrepancy....my dad is not doing so red hot, healthwise. He currently has 20% use of his kidneys. Once he gets down to 15%, he has to go on dialysis and search for a donor. If I could take years off my life to extend his, I would gladly do so. I talked to the folks at Phillip Morris and they said they would see what they could do if I kept smoking so......
In all seriousness, he has lived an awesome life, and I know that when he looks back on it, he has everything to be proud of. But he's not dead yet, and until he is, I can't do anything but think positive about the situation. Life tends to throw you a lot of curveballs, sometimes you just gotta wait back. One of the greatest lessons he taught me was not to be content with being average and it's something that will stick with me and I will try to inspire others to do the same.
