Clarity

Just to clear up the discrepancy....my dad is not doing so red hot, healthwise. He currently has 20% use of his kidneys. Once he gets down to 15%, he has to go on dialysis and search for a donor. Family is most likely to be the best option or route to go so we'll see if my shit is compatible. The only problem is he has low blood pressure and ( Read more... )

Sorry I didn't read this earlier. I won't get into much here, but your dad has been nothing but good to me. I called him to get your phone number or something once and he ended up giving me advice on growing up and making choices for the better part of an hour (you had mentioned my stellar OU career to him). He was understanding and reasonable, but above all, he went out of his way to try to help. He didn't need to do that.

Sam is a good man. I hope he lives another fifty years. When he's gone, he will be missed.

My dad is nothing less than an anomale to the pile of dung we call a society. You should give him a call and let him know that he did touch your life, no matter to what proportion you speak of.

If I could take years off my life to extend his, I would gladly do so. I talked to the folks at Phillip Morris and they said they would see what they could do if I kept smoking so......

In all seriousness, he has lived an awesome life, and I know that when he looks back on it, he has everything to be proud of. But he's not dead yet, and until he is, I can't do anything but think positive about the situation. Life tends to throw you a lot of curveballs, sometimes you just gotta wait back. One of the greatest lessons he taught me was not to be content with being average and it's something that will stick with me and I will try to inspire others to do the same.

Thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot.
