oH!!! what a great sory!! wonderfully writen!!! Long time since I´ve read something so...touching...I can imagine Harry at that last moment with Birgit and the maginc of this is that his situation is one that will be in our lives for sure, right? Omg!!! You scribbled another classic poignant H&G fanfic!!! What works best about this fic though subject of death on either H or G penned gazillion times are: I) timeline from post-dh thru G's death, 2) thestrals rarely made integral in fanfics, and 3) my new ship having read fanfics of Little0bird: YES to Scorps & Lils!!! :) I sooo wish you'd pen more Scorps&Lils as only a few HP fanfic writers pen well this particular ship!!! Harry Humpday indeed, all the best from NYC + plz more H&G too!!! ^___^

You're too kind! Thanks for that lovely review. I'm really glad you pointed out the things that worked for you. I haven't read much Lily/Scorpius fic, but they do seem to have potential as a couple.

This is a gorgeous story. I should have realised from the summary that you would take it to its logical ending, but the last section still managed to take me by surprise.

Shame you didn't finish it in November, though - it would have been a wonderful contribution to that prompt!

That actually makes me happy. I wanted the ending to be a little bit of a surprise, but I figured I couldn't really get away without warning for character death. Maybe having such a long time span between the last two sections preserved a little of the uncertainty.

Yeah, I do wish I'd finished it sooner. My only consolation is that the story changed substantially from what I originally envisioned in November, and the end result, after kicking the story around so long, is that it is much better now than it would have been then.
