One year ago tonight, I was standing in a long line at a bookstore ticking off the last hour before the release of DH. My Mom was visiting and she went with me, and people were dressed up (including a very believable Bellatrix), and it was so much fun.

I have been reading so much really good H/G fic lately, but yours have really been taking the cake.

I love how you've built this up. The feeling of numbness, grieving for Fred, being under the hundred million eyes of the Weasley family at a time when they're as tight as they'll probably ever be.

I especially loved the conversation between Ginny and George.

"And look at the bright side: now I might have a shot with Angelina." Oh, George. This was so very in character. And I loved how you had him accepting Fred's death, not easily, but like he'd been prepared for it. Of course he would have been.

Wow! Thank you for the wonderful feedback and for mentioning Ginny's conversation with George. That was a part of the fic I wrestled with a lot, and I was a little concerned that his comment about Angelina would seem too flippant, but I had to keep it in because I could so clearly picture him saying it in my head.

I was pretty sure I had read it before, but when I didn't see my review, I thought maybe I had just neglected to leave one, although I try my best not to do that.

It was wonderful though, and absolutely deserves all the reviews it gets! Great job!

This is just gorgeous. My favorite part was the scene between Ginny and George; I think you struck a perfect tone between grief and humor. I don't really feel one way or the other about Harry/Ginny, but this piece made me care about them as a pairing. It was lovely.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the George and Ginny interaction; it was one of the first scenes I thought of and one of the hardest to write.

I really liked this! I like hearing Ginny's POV... all of this had to be incredibly frustrating for her. All of the interruptions were kind of amusing - I like how she asked where each of her brothers were at the end :D. And Ginny's interaction with George was heartbreaking and so real, it made me smile even through the awfulness of the situation.

I'd like to think Harry would actually say, "...I plan to spend the rest of my life not going away again."

Thank you! I think Ginny spent a lot of time being frustrated while Harry was away - and even after he came back :) So glad you enjoyed it.

Awwwww. I really like this. I love me some Ginny/Harry, and I was sad that they really didn't get to come together in the end. This filled the need. :)
